Representative Retail Sales

Job Description

Pensacola Glass is seeking an individual to work full time, Monday through Friday on its Retail Sales Counter. This candidate must provide expeditious and courteous service while maintaining a clean area and a positive outlook. Candidate must possess the ability to work directly with walk-in customers, possess excellent telephone skills and exhibit the ability to handle and operate a multiline telephone system. Candidate must be computer literate in order to process orders and must have the ability to read a tape measure correctly. Glass experience is a plus but not required. We are seeking a person who possesses a winning attitude and is a team player. We are a drug free workplace and a pre-employment drug screen and background check will be required.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

You will have direct contact with our customers and therefore neatness in personal appearance and the ability to establish and maintain good relations with customers by providing courteous, efficient, and professional service is a must.

Must be capable of lifting and moving items and parts of up to 50lbs.

Must be willing to perform other general office tasks.

Must be functionally literate, capable of reading and writing legibly and must possess basic math skills.

Enter counter sales tickets into the computer with the necessary part numbers, quantities, and sufficient description.

Answer telephone promptly and courteously and handle telephone inquiries and orders promptly and accurately.

Maintain merchandise displays in the counter sales area and maintain a clean, neat work area.

Understand and use the computer system to access information, enter orders, credits, back orders etc. and move through the sales transaction accurately and efficiently.

Participate in cross-training in other department functions to allow for the opportunity to provide coverage to other areas.

Perform all duties in a consistently safe manner and adhere to all company safety policies.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Must be a high school graduate or have a GED and must have dependable transportation to report to work on time. Candidate must also demonstrate the ability to work with other office employees and staff efficiently and effectively.
