HOUSEKEEPING AIDES/HOUSEMEN (4 FULL-TIME OPENINGS)
- Respond promptly to requests from guests and other departments; contact other departments directly for urgent repairs; deliver guest requests and set up furniture items in guest rooms as requested
- Identify and report preventative maintenance issues in public areas or guest rooms; post caution signs (as needed)
- Remove items from hallways and transport to service areas, including debris, room service food and beverage trays, unread newspapers, soiled linens and trash placed near Housekeeping carts
- Clean, maintain and store cleaning equipment
- Complete other tasks as requested by housekeeping or engineering department in relation to guest rooms
- Follow all company, safety and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents or injuries; complete safety training and certifications; properly store flammable materials
- Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
- Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests’ service needs, assist individuals with disabilities and thank guests with genuine appreciation
- Speak with others using clear and professional speech/language
- Support team to reach common goals; ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards
- Stand, sit or walk for extended periods of time or for an entire shift; move, lift, carry, push, pull and place objects weighing less than 25 lbs without assistance; reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling and stooping
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Previous housekeeping, labor or other minor repair work experience preferred, especially in a guest environment such as hotel, retail, restaurant, etc.
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Team player with willingness to help wherever needed
- Excellent guest service and communication skills
- Flexible availability including days, nights, weekends and holidays
