Director of Nursing

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As Director of Nursing, your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
1. Manage ongoing client staffing process, including:
* Initiate and direct all clinical activities of the office
* Conduct in-home clinical assessments and set-up new private duty cases
* Provide services / review performance of medical personnel in a private home setting
* Visit referral sources and company networking functions
2. Field Staff Management, including:
* Maintain resume binder for all position types (i.e. nurses, CNAs, etc.)
* Schedule & conduct initial interviews and completing related paperwork
* Coordinate staffing activities with Director of Operations.
* Monitor customer compliance process (background checks, certification etc)
* Complete employee performance reviews at regular intervals
3. Office Management and Administration:
* Strong telephone skills, answer calls from clients and prospective clients
* Assign work to staff or employees
* Ensure after hour calls are handled
* Ability to write routine reports and correspondence as required
* Ability to respond professionally and appropriately
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
* Requires State RN license
* 2-3 years of Case Management, Utilization Review and Supervisory Experience
* Medical Recruiting & Staffing experience preferred
* Proven staff management, resource allocation, and coordination of people and resources skills
* Office management experience
* Basic Computer literacy

* Outstanding organizational skills, problem solving skills, thoroughness, adaptability to shifting priorities and multi-tasking
* Must demonstrate solid judgment and discretion about patient care
* Must exhibit a service orientation to both staff and clients and be a professional team player with a positive attitude
* Ability to prioritize and complete work on time, be detail-oriented and multi-task
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

* Ability to travel on a daily basis.
* Moderate physical activity, occasional lifting up to 50 lbs., standing or walking for more than 4 hours per day.
