Overview
Mechanics will be responsible for performing all required maintenance functions on both, power units and trailers.  Mechanics will maintain fleet records and requirements according to company and regulatory guidelines.  First shift is 7:00am-3:30pm, second shift is 10:00am-6:30pm.  There is a rotating schedule and mechanics must be available for either shift. All mechanics work Monday thru Friday with 1 weekend day, every other weekend. Mechanics may be "on call" after hours and on off days. This is a union position. ASE Certification is required.

Compensation

$24.46 per hour to start

$25.32 per hour after April 1, 2009

Annual average salary $51,000 - $55,000

Requirements
5 yrs experience performing heavy duty truck & trailer repairs

CDL A license

“H” (hazmat) and “N” (tanker) endorsements

TWIC Card

Air conditioning experience

ASE certification

Must have own tools

Liquid bulk tanker experience preferred but not required

State Inspector certification preferred but not required

Black steel toe boots
