EXPERIENCED in sales in the School Band & Orchestra Music Industry. Must be able to lift like a UPS guy. You must work SATURDAYS. 25yr old or older with reliable car and knowledge in school Band/Orchestra. Self motivated, self starter, we don't want to have to tell you what to do every second of the day. We pay minimum wage plus a percentage on gross profit for instrument sales. Your pay depends on you! (If a sale is on store credit, you will have to wait until the invoice is paid by the school or county before we can pay you). Dress is black pants, black shoes, we provide logo shirt (TUCK and PULL) No jeans.
You will have to deal with Band Directors, parents, kids. You will visit, deliver, pick up and sell directly at schools (to Directors) in the mornings and run a cash register in the evenings. Mon - Sat. (off Wed or Fri) Our hours are 10a-7p except in Aug & Sep then we're 10a - 8p, but you may start earlier in the morning calling on schools.
We are a small mom and pop business that's been around for 35 years. We don't offer benefits cuz we are that small, but it's relaxed and we are flexible. We rent, sell and repair school Band & Orchestra instruments. There are contracts, accounts and computer inventory involved. It's easy when you get used to it. There is a lot of down time that you can use to make or find more contacts or email sales flyers and specials, call past due accounts, etc. We also offer trophies/plaques seasonally. You may also be asked to work our Stone Mountain/Clarkston location.
