SALES ENGINEER 

BUILDING CONTROLS & SERVICES, INC. headquartered in Tonawanda, NY is looking for a qualified, enthusiastic and dedicated long term associate for their Rochester, NY branch office.

This key candidate should have the following skilled qualifications:
Responsible to estimate and secure profitable work for automated building controls projects, develop and meet sales budgets.  Targeted work will also include projects with excellent long term "service" potential.  Responsible also to assist other departments on strategic team sales.  Provide leadership on all booked projects by monitoring project profitability, change orders, cash flow and jobsite visits.  Develop target accounts which maximize a bundle of BCS products and services.

FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

*Generate project & service agreement estimates & proposals
*Achieve annual budgeted sales bookings and gross margins on a quarterly basis.
*Develop customer relationships and implement marketing plans.
*Work with consulting engineers in preparing plans and specifications based on represented hardware and sofware solutions to maximize project probability.
*Prepare accurate estimates with detailed sketches representing the scope of work.
*Stay informed and become proficient on new products, procedures, industry regulations & codes.
*Develop knowledge of each industry served and their business devices and problems.
*Monitor job costs/estimates on booked projects - monthly
*Develop sales budget by December for the following fiscal year
*Develop key target project sales plan & keep current monthly.

EDUCATION

M.S., B.S., AAS in Mechanicl and/or Electrical Engineering
Four (4) years technical sales experience
Previous experience w/process controls, HVAC systems and related controls 
Understand the dynamics of a process or a system and how to improve efficiency
