LEGAL ASSISTANT WANTED -- General counsel of consulting services company requires legal assistant. Fluency in English and Mandarin preferred. Researches law, prepares documents to assist general counsel. Researches legal issues. Reviews petitions and supporting documentation for immigration benefits for completeness. Prepares legal documents such as petitions, briefs, pleadings, appeals, contracts, initial and amended articles of incorporation or organization, limited partnership agreements, and buy-sell agreements for review and approval by general counsel. Prepares affidavits, notarial minutes, brevets and other documents for civil law notary protocol and maintains protocol. Directs delivery of supporting documents for petitions to legal counsel. May direct and coordinate activities of company office and subordinate employees. May prepare office accounts and tax returns. 3 years minimum experience. Salary range $30,000 to $60,000 per year depending upon education, demonstrated skills, work history and experience. Minimum baccalaureate degree.
