Position Summary: Senior test equipment project engineer to design and operate electronic and mechanical test equipment and software for a actuation flight control system integration lab with hardware-in-the-loop. Responsibilities: * Ability to interface with aircraft customers and other flight control suppliers to design and implement a working data acquisition and load control fixtures configuration for an actuator and controllers based flight control system * Support customer definition phase, design phase, and field equipment and software * Train operators, perform troubleshooting, and tune control loops of SIL equipment and software. * Determine the signal interfaces for the DAQ equipment and the physical interfaces of the actuator to load fixture required for equipment and fixture design. * Travel and extended stay at customers based in foreign countries. Requirements: 1. Bachelor’s degree (BS) in mechanical, electrical, or aerospace engineering or a related technical discipline. Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through eight or more years of related experience. MS preferred. 2. Ability to specify and configure test equipment hardware and software for use in a system integration laboratory (SIL) for a flight control actuation system. Experience with SIL/iron bird tests of an actuation flight control system for an A/C OEM desirable. 3. Knowledge of digital databus PCI or PXI based data acquisition hardware and operation of software tools to program hardware. 4. Experience in hydraulic servo valve control, load fixture operation and associated instrumentation. 5. Developed interface documentation and functional requirements of a high IO channel count of a data acquisition system. 6. Experience with real-time testing of a fly-by-wire flight control with hardware-in-the-loop (HITL). Equal opportunity / Affirmative action employer.
