Food Safety Supervisor

Farbest Foods, Inc. is looking for the right person to coordinate food safety programs. This position will perform a wide variety of tasks both in the lab and in the processing areas on our night shift.

Responsibilities

·        Create and implement new food safety programs;

·        Review and assure continued success of current programs;

·        Maintain program records;  

·        Supervise, educate and train employees;

·        Work with Evisceration department in evaluation of turkeys.

Qualifications

·        Problem solving and data analysis skills;

·        Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills;

·        BS in agricultural/Microbiology/Food Science related field or equivalent work experience.

Who are we?

Farbest Foods, Inc is a turkey processing plant in Southern Indiana.  We currently process over 11 million turkeys.   Our product is sent to further processors, both domestically and internationally.  Check out our website at FarbestFoods.com for more information about our company and the products we produce. 

Farbest Farms, Inc. is the grow out part of our operation.  We currently have over 150 different growers. The majority of our turkeys are grown within 50 miles of the production facility, but we also have growers located in southern Illinois and northern Kentucky.  We also run 2 brooder hubs.

JFS Milling, Inc. is our state of the art, fully automated pellet feed mill, which began operation in September 2004.  We produce approximately 400,000 tons of feed each year to all our turkeys.
