Development and support for a Business Intelligence team in developing a CRM project for a fortune 500 company. Job Responsibilities
•Provide administration support of the Cognos suite of products (Cognos 8, Reportnet, and Framework Manager) in an enterprise data warehouse. This includes excellent analysis, problem determination and troubleshooting skills.
•Demonstrate an ability to know when to escalate to Cognos Support Manager or present a service option to the client.
•Maintain issue ownership from initial customer contact to call resolution, which includes supporting escalations if appropriate and providing customer updates.
•Capture requirements, design, create, manage, and fulfill requests for report and data creation, development, and maintenance.
•Work with business analysts and end users to understand business rules and interpret data.
•Working knowledge of database queries to improve system performance and data retrieval.
Job Specifications
•Experience with developing Cognos 8 or Cognos ReportNet reports using Report Studio.
•Experience with Cognos 8 or Cognos ReportNet Framework Manager.
•Experience in writing SQL for SQL Server 2000 or SQL Server 2005
•Experience with reporting on dimensional databases.
