Job Description THE HIRING COMPANY: Real Equity Management is a property management company with headquarters located in Columbia, MO. REM manages the popular student housing complex Brookside, along with other residential complexes like Aria Luxury Apartments, The Residences at Old Hawthorne and several retail and commercial properties. REM's properties are located in Missouri, Kentucky and Oklahoma, with continual expansion. BAR SECURITY POSITION: Our Brookside Day Club is looking to hire Bar Security staff to ensure that our guests have a great experience You will provide security and protection for guests, employees and the property. This position helps to maintain crowd control, prevent theft, and discourage altercations in a high volume atmosphere. Our Bar Security works in an efficient and professional manner while maintaining a positive attitude and delivering superior guest service at all times. BAR SECURITY RESPONSIBILITIES: Positioned at all doors wearing a distinctive uniform. Is well-trained for the post and knows every regulation. Must maintain control of access and club entry lines. ID verification for legal age prior to admission. Verify prior to entry that the person is not obviously intoxicated. Verify that the person is not carrying a weapon or contraband. Enforce dress code and refuse objectionable attire. Refuses admission to known troublemakers. Direct communication with bouncers and management. Access and egress control and fire safety duties. Calls the police to report criminal acts, as required. Monitor patron behavior and level of intoxication Enforce club rules often with attentive nature Removes obnoxious and offensive persons with as much professionalism as possible. BAR SECURITY QUALIFICATIONS: MUST BE: 18 years of age. A positive A attitude. Be able to communicate effectively Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours). Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to have fun and create a fun work environment while staying professional Proficient in a variety of technology systems; Microsoft Office Suite,POS systems.
