Transcribes and types medical reports, descriptions and summaries to ensure completion of comprehensive patient records.
1. Education/Experience:
Must have received a certificate in medical transcription course work; OR, Must have one (1) year of medical typing experience.
2. Certification/Registration/Licensure:
N/A
3. Skills or Special Abilities:
Must be able to type 40-59 words per minute with a minimum of three (3) errors. Must be able to satisfactorily operate a dictaphone. Must be able to demonstrate a thorough knowledge of medical terminology. Must be able to pass a spelling test, with a score of 80% or better.
