Bridge Community Health Clinic is looking for full-time long term temporary clinic nurses to join our COVID-19 care team. Full-time hours for this position are Monday through Friday 8am - 5pm with potential for an alternating Tuesday shift from 10am 7pm. The length of this position is subject to change, but is anticipated to run through October 2021.
You will be a core member of the COVID-19 care team. You will provide coordination and implementation of the clinics COVID-19 testing program, in collaboration with the Medical Services Coordinator, COVID-19 LPN, and COVID-19 Testing Coordinator
You will make a difference when you:- Work collaboratively with the COVID-19 care team members, and laboratory staff to develop, implement, and maintain COVID-19-related processes within the screening, testing, vaccination and follow-up continuum.
- Monitor the Bridge Clinic COVID-19 Line and address/route calls appropriately.
- Screen callers to assess COVID-19-related needs. This may include COVID-19 test scheduling, vaccination and/or routing callers to the appropriate internal or external resource.
- Augment RN and LPN management of COVID-19-related patient calls to the general Nurse Line.
- Triage patients for COVID-19 symptoms and schedule patients for COVID-19 testing when appropriate according to clinic and state DHS guidelines.
- Perform COVID-19 testing and vaccination and provide related guidance/education.
- Provide timely patient follow-up within Registered Nurse scope of practice.
- Coordinate and/or participate in COVID-19 testing and vaccination events and outreach activities, as requested by the clinic and/or public health department.
- Manage clinical COVID-19 testing and vaccination supplies including ordering and monitoring inventory and utilization.
- Enter patient information into WEDDS and WIR as outlined by the DHS.
- A current WI RN license in good standing
- A current BLS certification
- Outpatient clinic experience preferred
- Spanish/Hmong language skills preferred
