Position Description

The Awakenings Day Program provides support to adults with Autism and challenging behaviors, who also have other intellectual, developmental, and physical disabilities.This position is Full Time that pays $12.50 per hour. The work schedule for this position is variable hours M-F between the hours of 8:00 am - 4:00 pm for usually 35 hours per week.

Requirements:

This is an entry-level position; however, it requires a HS Diploma or equivalent and previous experience or the ability to support adults with intellectual, developmental, and physical disabilities, Autism; and challenging behaviors/psychological issues. Must also be 18 years old or older, and have a valid driver's license along with two (2) years of driving experience and good driving history.

The successful candidate will also need to pass a reading comprehension and math test, background check, pre-employment screenings including drug screen. This is a very physical position that requires lifting, transferring, and the ability to provide direct care and implement proper restraint techniques to ensure persons served health and safety.
