The Counter Manager is responsible for assisting store management and the Kiehl's TRAM Home Office team in achieving store sales and service goals in conjunction with reaching individual sales targets, assisting in the operation of our stores and supervising and supporting our teams as outlined in the Mission of Kiehl.
Responsibilities
Set and achieve store sales and service goals in conjunction with reaching individual personal and team member sales goals as established by management team and Kiehl's TRAM
Serve as a point of contact between client (store/counter operator) and Kiehl's TRAM
Enforce Kiehl's Mission, policies and procedures
Provide on-going training, coaching and development for store team while maintaining company and educational values as directed
Effectively execute visual directives, education selling tools and customer service standards
Provide and model exemplary customer service as outlined in the Kiehl's Circle of Service
Greet and serve customers in a timely, professional and engaging manner
Provide honest and confident recommendations and feedback to customers regarding products
Become a Kiehl's advocate and brand expert
Communicate business opportunities that include line performance, stock levels and team motivation/recognition
Perform and delegate daily maintenance and visual merchandising tasks including stock work, re-merchandising, display, merchandise transfers, light cleaning, etc., according directives and ensuring a neat and clean store/counter.
Utilize resources, eliminate roadblocks, and drive process improvement
Regular attendance and timeliness for all scheduled shifts
Qualifications
2+ years of specialty retail store supervisory experience, cosmetic experience preferred
Proven ability to set and achieve sales goals
Demonstrated ability to develop positive relationships with customers and coworkers
Working knowledge of store operation procedures
Demonstrated success in driving sales by leading and motivating a team
Highly resourceful, flexible and ability to solve problems in a timely manner
History of executing promotions and handling increased responsibilities
Ability to positively and proactively handle customer concerns and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Ability to learn new procedures and processes quickly
Strong organizational and follow-through skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
High level of ownership, accountability and initiative
Willing to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays
Basic computer skills
High School Diploma or GED required
Must be able to work on your feet all day
Walk up and down a flight of stairs or ladder if necessary
Lift up to 25lbs on a regular basis
